Accor Expansion in UK

 

Accor as one of the biggest hotel operators will increase its network in UK. This operator signed a franchise agreement with Jupiter Hotels Ltd which will open 300 hotels in 2012. This agreement will definitely make real the expansion of the Accor operator in the UK. The agreement is quite important for UK hotel industry this year.

Due to this agreement, there will be 24 hotels with 2,664 rooms will be opened under the name of Mercure brand in Britain. This occurrence will also increase the number of Mercure hotels to 68 hotels. Mercure now is the major player in local hotel business of mid-scale in the market. The new built hotels will be located in various areas in UK. It will also be available in the main attractions and tourism destination in Brighton, Edinburgh, Inverness and York as well as London and other business city area like Manchester, Leicester, and Leeds. Jupiter Hotels has involved in a big network of 700 midscale hotels available in 50 countries around the world.
This agreement is one of the realizations of the Accor ambition to grow the business and expansion. Jean Jacques Dessors , Chief operating Officer of Accor UK and Ireland said that the expansion in UK is the commitment to build Mercure hotel brand here since UK is an important market. This person also said that the company will keep pursuing further franchise opportunities.
The new hotels of Accor will have Mercure name and they are Ayr Hotel, Bradford North, Bolton West, Burton Upon Trent Newton Park, Brighton Seafront and many more. This hotel will be one of the biggest hotels in UK with 68 hotels in total which are located in a perfect spot for business and leisure. This hotel will be one of the most promising group in hotel business.
